The stories of Little Red Riding Hood, the Threee Boy Who Cried Wolf, and the Wolf and the Seven Little Pigs, th Kids all involve the Big Bad Wolf.
Looking at The Big Bag Wolf
I decided to focus on the story of the Three Little Pigs. Having the three covers based on the three stages of the story of the pigs.
Cardboard houses and using lights.
I wanted to do something with lighting, so I explored this idea by researching other artists who had used cardboard and lighting to create houses and significant effects.
Using cardboard to make a building, I took it outside to spray paint it a stone texture.
After that, to get more texture, I added gold leaf and plant-shaped items to show the building is overgrown.
Flames cut out of red acrylic
I wanted to add gold to all my projects to link them together as a series of album covers.
"Inspired by the Japanese Kintsugi (literally, gold seams)." is a traditional repair method that takes the broken or chipped parts of cherished vessels, glues them back with Japanese lacquer, and paints the seams with gold or silver powder.
Laser cutting the 'big bad wolf' AKA the band mark
At first, I used the studio to try and get my shadows in photography; it wasn't the result I wanted, so Dwayne took me to the photography studio to book one of the studios, and I was set up with a spotlight to take better shadow photography.
I then took these images into Photoshop and messed about with the colours and the lighting to get the effects I wanted.
